Both benign and malignant breast problems are, unfortunately, very common. The Breast Surgeon will evaluate the findings, including all x-rays and biopsy results, and perform an examination. Decisions will then be made about the best treatment options.
Advancements in care have allowed for patients to have excellent long-term outcomes. Surgical procedures may include breast preserving lumpectomy, cosmetic nipple-areola preserving mastectomy with reconstruction. Axillary dissections can usually be avoided with sentinel lymph node biopsies.
A multi-disciplinary approach allows for our superior outcomes.
